1 pound carrots peeled and cut into 3/4 to 1" chunks
1 large onion cut into wedges
2 pound beef stew meat
1/3 cup butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup beef broth or stock
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1. Sprinkle the spices on both sides of the meat.
2. Place the meat and flour in a baggie, close and shake well.
3. Heat the butter either in a skillet or in a slow cooker on the sauté function and quickly brown the meat.
4. Place the veggies then the meat in the crockpot.
5. Pour the meat and drippings into the crockpot too, scrap the pan if you used a skillet and transfer that as well.
6. Pour the brother over the top.
7. Cover and cook on low 8 to 12 hours, high for 4 1/2 - 6 hours.
8. Enjoy!
